Fremont, CA – It’s with support from programs like Rite Aid’s KidCents Regional Grant that allows Tri-City Health Center (TCHC) to provide southern Alameda County with the affordable and accessible healthcare the community counts on.
KidCents Regional Grant of $15,000 will help expand TCHC’s Active Healthy Families Program, a family-centered educational program targeted at improving the nutritional knowledge and habits, level of physical fitness, and attitude towards physical activity in children ages 9-13 who were identified as overweight and obese.
Thanks to KidCents’ generous donation, TCHC can provide increased care to more residents than ever before, staying faithful to its mission of providing quality healthcare services to the underserved families in the community, without regards to financial position, ethnicity, language, culture, sexual orientation, or the ability to pay.
In 2018, TCHC provided Vision, Behavioral, Dental, and Primary Care services, as well as specialty care for Pediatrics, Podiatry, and Chiropractic care, to more than 26,000 patients through seven locations throughout Fremont, with an eighth set to open this fall. TCHC is proud to be the only Federally Qualified Health Center in Fremont.
Established in 2001, KidCents annually supports a select group of community-based nonprofit organizations, who are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of children living in the communities served by Rite Aid.
