Fremont, CA – Henry Schein, Inc. announced that it has awarded its fourth annual Henry Schein Cares Medal in the Medical category to Tri-City Health Center (TCHC), recognizing the Fremont, California-based nonprofit organization for excellence in expanding access to care for the underserved.
TCHC was recognized for its commitment to delivering health care services in a caring, nurturing, respectful atmosphere while improving the quality of life of its patients by promoting optimal health. TCHC aims to manage chronic diseases and strengthen access to health care services for every person and family in the community. A Federally Qualified Health Center, TCHC offers community-based, primary medical, dental, and behavioral health services at 12 community sites, including seven Fremont-based clinics, a dental clinic, and four mobile health clinics.
“We are proud to be recognized by Henry Schein,” CEO Dr. Zettie Page, III said. “This award is in recognition of the commitment and dedication of our staff to the mission of serving those in need regardless of background. We are faithful in serving the diverse population of southern Alameda County. Thank you Henry Schein for assisting in achieving this goal.”
An independent panel of judges selected TCHC as one three 2019 Henry Schein Cares Medalists in the Medical category. Each Medalist receives a $10,000 cash award from the Henry Schein Cares Foundation. Three Medalists were also chosen in the Dental category earlier this month.
“Tri-City Health Center shares Team Schein’s belief that everyone, regardless of their life’s circumstances, deserves access to high-quality health care,” said Jennifer Kim Field, Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility, Henry Schein, Inc. “We are pleased to recognize the team at Tri-City Health Center with the Henry Schein Cares Medal, and hope that their work safeguarding the health of community members in need serves as an example for others to follow.”
Since its founding in 1932, Henry Schein has been dedicated to fulfilling its responsibilities as a corporate citizen by giving back to the industries and communities it serves.
